What FC Means
FC on a DCS WO-series wall oven is a communication error detected by the user interface board: the serial link between the touch panel board and the temperature control board has been down for four to five seconds. The guide notes this alarm is always active, so it can appear even when the oven is idle.
Common Causes of FC
- Communication cable between the boards loose or heat-damaged
- Temperature control board not powering up
- User interface board failing
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Switch the oven off at the breaker for a full minute and back on. Communication errors sometimes follow a power flicker. If FC returns, book the visit; the two boards, the cable between them and their power supply all have to be checked.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The boards sit in the control box above the oven with 240-volt wiring close by, and reseating connectors requires removing the control panel.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
