On the BH1-36RI-N the infrared sear burner takes up a large share of a 36-inch grill, so a weak sear burner changes how the whole grill cooks. A slow, patchy glow usually means clogged ceramic ports; a burner that will not stay lit is a gas or ignition issue.
The rotisserie light is a halogen bulb in the motor housing, and it is one of the few owner-replaceable parts on the grill.
