The BE1-36C-N is the smallest of the Series 9 charcoal-capable grills. Owners mostly call when it will not reach temperature. DCS’s own troubleshooting covers the easy causes: a full 10-minute preheat, wind gusts across an exposed patio, and blocked burner ports. On natural gas, an undersized supply line is worth checking too if every burner is weak at once.
Because the lights and ignition share a GFCI-protected supply, a trip after a storm can stop the grill from lighting even though the gas is fine.
