What Fr Means
Fr appears only on the double WO-227 and WO-230 DCS wall ovens. The service guide defines it as a lower-oven error equivalent to an F5, F9 or F- on the upper oven: element supervision disabled, door lock error, or a communication error at the lower relay board. The display does not say which of the three it is, so diagnosis starts from the lower oven’s lock, relay board and wiring.

- Lower oven door lock motor or switch failure
- Lower oven relay board not communicating
- Lower oven element supervision circuit failed
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Cancel the lower oven. If the door is locked after a clean, let it cool with power on. You can usually keep using the upper oven while the lower one is out of service, as long as the upper shows no code of its own.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The lower oven’s lock and relay board are only reachable with the double oven pulled out of its cabinet, which takes two people for a unit of this weight.
