What FF Means
The DCS WO-series service guide lists FF as “Bad A/D”. The analog-to-digital converter is the part of the temperature control board that turns the sensor’s resistance into a number, and FF means that conversion has failed. Without it, the board cannot trust any temperature reading and cancels the oven.
Common Causes of FF
- Temperature control board converter circuit failed
- Board damaged by heat in the control box
- Unstable supply to the board after a surge
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Cancel the oven and reset power once at the breaker when the oven is cool. If FF returns, the oven should stay off until the temperature control board has been tested.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- FF points to the board itself, and confirming it means ruling out the sensor and supply with meters on a live 240-volt appliance.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
