The BH1-48RS-N is the one Series 7 grill with side burners built into the same body instead of a separate module. That means the side burners share the grill’s gas manifold, so a gas supply problem affects both, while an ignition problem is usually specific to the side burner’s own electrode.
Side burners sit exposed on the right of the grill and catch boil-overs; sauce and sugar burned onto the electrode are the most frequent reason one stops lighting.
