What F2-05 / F3-05 Means
F2-05 and F3-05 are door lock mechanism errors on the power boards of DCS WOSV230 and WODV230 ovens. Unlike the A2 and A3 user alerts, this is a failure code: the lock mechanism did not behave as the board expected. The manual checks for an obstruction and for the lock slot’s alignment in the door first.
Common Causes of F2-05 / F3-05
- Obstruction in the lock mechanism
- Lock slot in the door out of alignment with the latch
- Lock motor or switches failed
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Do not run self-clean. If the door is locked and the oven is hot, leave power on and wait for it to cool. Look for anything wedged at the top edge of the door. If the code returns, the lock needs service.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Realigning the door or the lock involves the hinges and the top panel of the oven, on a door heavy enough to injure fingers if it drops.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
