What F1-04 / F1-05 Means
F1-04 and F1-05 are communication errors seen by the clock module on DCS WOSV230 and WODV230 ovens. With F1-04 the master power board (upper or only oven) did not answer in time or at all; with F1-05 the slave power board of the lower oven did not. The boards were found at start-up but stopped talking later.
Common Causes of F1-04 / F1-05
- Loose or heat-damaged harness connection at the power board
- Power board failing intermittently
- Condensation around the boards after heavy steam cooking
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
With the oven cool, switch the breaker off and on once. If the error returns, note whether it is 04 or 05, since that tells the technician which cavity’s board and harness to test first.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Checking the harness means removing the top panel of a built-in oven with 240-volt wiring next to the boards.
