What F7 Means
F7 on a DCS WO-series wall oven means a key on the touch panel has read as pressed for 32 seconds in a row. The guide says this cancels both ovens, shows -F7- in the clock digits and sounds the error tone until CANCEL is pressed. If a key other than Stop Time, Timer 1 or Timer 2 is stuck when power comes on, F7 appears immediately.
Common Causes of F7
- Moisture or cleaner under the touch panel membrane
- Worn or cracked keypad shorting a key
- Heat damage to the keypad ribbon above the oven
- User interface board misreading the keypad
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Press CANCEL. If CANCEL is the stuck key, the guide says pressing another valid function key clears the display and tone. Wipe the panel gently with a barely damp towel, as the owner guide describes, and never spray cleaner directly on it; liquid seeping under the membrane is a common way keys short.
