The RDV2-486GL has a gas char-grill beside six burners, with two electric ovens below. DCS is firm that the grease drip-pan must be in place when the grill runs; without it, heat and grease reach wiring underneath.
The grill burner is tested like any gas burner, while the ovens below are electric and tested as such.
