The CT-304 uses DCS’s sealed Dual Flow Burners, which DCS advertised as dropping the main flame at the lowest settings and keeping only an inner simmer flame. When that inner flame will not light or keep burning, the burner’s small inner ports are blocked or the cap is off center.
A 30-inch drop-in with four burners is compact, so a misplaced cap after cleaning is the most common reason one burner acts up.
