The CPV-364GD is a professional rangetop: burners and a griddle with front controls, built into the counter with no oven below. DCS calls these “professional cooktops” in its guides. The griddle has its own thermostat, so a griddle that swings from too hot to too cool is diagnosed separately from the burners.
Boil-overs are the usual reason a burner stops lighting on a rangetop, and drying and cleaning the ignitor fixes most of them.
