On DCS RF24RE and RF24LE outdoor refrigerators, the RF24RE3 / RF24LE3 update and the RF24T / RF24BT beer dispensers, “do” is the door ajar alarm. The DCS guide says it appears when the door has been open for more than five minutes: the display flashes “do”, the red Alarm light comes on and the unit beeps once a second. It stops by itself as soon as the door closes.
Common Causes of do
- Door left open during loading or cleaning
- Contents or the beer line holding the door off the gasket
- Cabinet no longer level, so the door drifts open
- Door switch or magnet sensor not detecting a closed door
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Close the door firmly and watch the display; if “do” clears, nothing is wrong. If the door is closed and “do” stays, check whether a bottle, the keg coupler hose or a shelf is holding the door off its gasket, and whether the cabinet is still level after patio settling. A door that swings open on its own often means the front legs need raising slightly.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- If the alarm continues with the door fully shut, the switch or its wiring behind the liner has failed and replacing it means taking the control area apart.
- Bending the hinge to force the door shut distorts the gasket seal and lets warm, humid outdoor air in every time.
