The WD-27-SS-OD is the earlier, narrower outdoor warming drawer. After years outdoors, water that gets past the drawer front can reach the element terminals, and a drawer that trips its GFI outlet or heats weakly usually has a corroded connection there.
A thermostat that lets the drawer overheat or stay cool at every setting is replaced.
